Same door, same floor
Blamero opened when the old lease on Wickham Street came up and two club coaches wanted a place that would actually hold wide running sizes. We kept the narrow shopfront and put fitting rooms where the stock room used to be. The blue stripe on the door is the same paint from year three—we touch it up, not replace it.
We are not a chain. Orders go through suppliers we have argued with for a decade. When Brisbane humidity kills mesh on a popular trainer, we reorder what walked out the door, not whatever a rep pushes that week.
Who walks in
Parkrun regulars from New Farm, touch teams that share one washing machine, and gym members who need a belt that does not pinch on squats. Parents buy kids’ court shoes before school sport starts; we measure in socks, not barefoot on cold lino.
We do not do ski hire or golf clubs. Running, gym, court, and team kit—that is the wall space we defend.
Fitting rooms and the team board
Two fitting rooms: one for road and trail shoes, one for court and cross-trainers. Saturday mornings get busy; weekday lunch is quieter if you want time on the pavement outside for a stride check.
Behind the counter we keep club templates—sizes, numbers, one or two colours. Valley netball and touch seasons share the same printer queue, so lists on the board six weeks out beat a panic email the Friday before round one.
Hours and getting here
Mon–Sat 9:00–17:30, Sunday 10:00–15:00 AEST. Fortitude Valley station is roughly seven minutes on foot. Street parking tightens after 4 pm; early Saturday is kinder if you are carrying a team bag.

How we sell
This website is a window, not a checkout. Stock lives on the floor; sizes move by the hour on a busy weekend. Message us to hold a pair, or walk in with your old shoes and the socks you train in.
Exchanges happen in store when tags are still on and the sole has not seen bitumen. Team deposits are non-refundable once names go to print—we say that before you pay.
